Hi, I’m Erin!
I’m a freelance illustrator in McKinney, Texas. I spend as much time as I can writing or drawing from home or my local library. I enjoy reading with my two kids, sketching at the zoo, going on walks with my family, and reading or writing whenever I get a chance.
I currently have five published picture books. I collaborate with clients on everything from picture books to commissioned pet portraits to middle-grade covers and interior artwork.
My love of art started early, with my paintings and artwork hung in my grandmother’s home. Almost all of my favorite childhood memories involve books: going to the school library during the summer and reading the Edge Chronicles or Alex Rider books, waiting for each new Harry Potter book and taking turns reading with my siblings, or listening to the Eragon books on CD as we drove to visit family. The fantastic worlds, beautiful illustrations, and compelling characters inspired me to receive my BFA in illustration from Brigham Young University. Soon after graduating, I married my husband, Matt, and moved to Texas for new adventures.
